Svetlana Zelyonaya''s Gallery

This is a collection of works of the artist from Bryansk Svetlana Zelyonaya, who lives now in Saint-Petersburg.

Mainly, Svetlana follows traditions of Russian analytical school. She paints in oil, water-colours and pastel, using different styles of painting in order to express her philosophical view on that which is called Reality.

You can see on the pages of this site works that represent still life, people and landscapes, but most of all Svetlana likes to represent the domes of temples and monasteries directed to the sky.

Svetlana is a Bryansk art-school graduate. When she was nineteen, she moved to Saint-Petersburg, where she visited classes in the Academy of Arts.

Later Svetlana entered the Saint-Petersburg Higher School of Religion and Philosophy, where she studied the Oriental and European Philosophy for 4 years.

Svetlana took part in various exhibitions together with the Kochevie (The Nomads) artistic group. The leader of the group Alexander Kondratyev, an outstanding follower of traditions of Russian analytical school, became her real teacher of painting.

Some of Svetlana''s pictures are now in private collections of Saint-Petersburg, Moscow and the USA.
